Minor question: which version? In generel it's recommended to post the 
versions of the affected tools, as stated here: 
http://www.exit1.org/dvdrip/support.cipp . (e.g. by pressing Ctrl+D in

But no error message appears? Please take a look in the log, grab the 
executed command you find there and execute it (as the same user) 
manually. The output of these command should help finding the problem. 
Post the output here, if it don't make any sense to you ;)
