I don't have anything in common with dvd::rip but I can tell you that in
my projects I am happy when users submit patches implementing their
ideas. That's why it's open source - you can contribute not only with
ideas but also with their implementations. And if you don't know how to
program or are lazy to program then you can just ask kindly the
author(s) but you can't really expect (or even ask) them to donate their
time and energy to you.
